Cherrium Software Privacy Policy
Cherrium Software Privacy Policy
Overview
This Software Privacy Policy explains how Cherrium LLC collects, processes, stores, shares, and protects information when you use Cherrium software, applications, and related software services.
This policy applies to Peek, Flow, Harbor, CinePlan, Zoruh Stickers, Zoruh Stickers Animated, and related software services provided by Cherrium LLC.
Cherrium’s online store, website purchases, storefront cookies, and Shopify commerce activity are covered separately by the Cherrium Store Privacy Policy.

1) Information We Process
User Content
Depending on the product and features you use, Cherrium software may process content that you submit, create, select, capture, or generate. This may include:
- Prompts, questions, and chat messages.
- AI-generated responses and summaries.
- Automatically saved chats and chat titles.
- Relevant saved-chat excerpts or compact summaries used as memory.
- Quiz questions, answers, selections, and results.
- Code, links, plans, stories, and other generated material.
- Files or media you explicitly select for supported features.
- PDFs or other documents you choose to export.
Vision Information
When you explicitly start Peek Vision, the app may process:
- Screenshots captured during the Vision session.
- Visible text detected from those screenshots.
- Foreground application and window information.
- Timing information used to understand activity across the session.
- The AI-generated Vision analysis.
Vision does not capture system audio. Vision screenshots are held in memory for the active analysis and are not intentionally saved to disk as saved-chat images. Captured frames are cleared from the app after they are selected and prepared for analysis.
The resulting text analysis may be saved as part of your Peek chat.
Voice Information
When you explicitly start voice input, Peek processes microphone audio to create a speech transcript. Depending on your device, language, and system configuration, speech-recognition processing may occur on your device or through Apple’s speech-recognition services.
Cherrium does not intentionally save raw microphone recordings. The resulting transcript appears in the Ask field and may become part of a saved chat if you submit it.
If optional voice auto-send is enabled, recognized text may be submitted after Peek detects that you have stopped speaking.
Device and Technical Information
Peek may process limited technical information necessary to operate and secure the service, including:
- A randomly generated identifier associated with the app installation.
- App version and build number.
- Operating-system version.
- Locale and time-zone information.
- Model availability and request status.
- Error messages and basic diagnostic information.
- Permission status for supported system features.
- Request timestamps, network information, and security metadata.
Internet infrastructure providers may automatically receive information such as your IP address and basic request metadata when Peek connects to hosted services.
Settings and Usage Information
The app stores settings and basic usage information such as:
- Daily request usage.
- Free or Peek Pro status.
- Enabled settings and feature preferences.
- Configured keyboard shortcuts.
- Notification preferences.
- Legal-policy acceptance status and date.
- The last selected chat and other interface state.
Most settings and usage counters are stored locally on your device.
Subscription Information
Apple processes purchases and subscription payments made through the App Store. Cherrium does not receive your complete payment-card details.
Peek receives limited purchase and entitlement information from Apple, such as the product purchased and whether Peek Pro access is currently available.
Support Information
If you create a Peek Support File, the app generates a diagnostic report on your device. It may contain:
- App, build, macOS, locale, and time-zone information.
- Plan and daily usage status.
- Enabled settings.
- Permission status.
- Model status and sanitized error information.
- Selected-chat size and performance information.
The support report does not intentionally include your prompts, assistant responses, chat titles, raw audio, screenshots, or custom shortcut keys. The report is not sent automatically. You choose whether to save or share it.
2) Local Storage
Peek stores saved chats in the user’s Application Support folder on the Mac. The saved-chat file is assigned private file permissions intended to restrict access to the current user account.
Settings, feature preferences, request counters, installation identifiers, legal acceptance status, and similar app state may be stored locally using macOS application preferences.
Local information may remain on your device until you delete it, reset the app, remove its supporting data, or uninstall the software.
3) How We Use Information
We process information to:
- Provide requested software features.
- Generate AI responses and Vision analysis.
- Convert speech into text.
- Save, retrieve, search, pin, and organize chats.
- Provide automatic saved-chat memory.
- Create and score interactive quizzes.
- Generate PDF and other user-requested exports.
- Verify purchases and provide subscription benefits.
- Apply request limits and prevent service abuse.
- Authenticate app installations with hosted services.
- Diagnose failures and provide customer support.
- Maintain security, reliability, and compatibility.
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Use.
4) AI Processing
Peek sends prompts and relevant context through a Cherrium-operated network relay to an AI service provider. The information sent may include:
- Your current prompt.
- Recent messages from the current conversation.
- A compact summary of a long conversation.
- Relevant saved-chat excerpts when automatic memory is used.
- Vision screenshots and related visible-screen context.
- Instructions needed to produce the requested output.
Cherrium currently uses Cloudflare for relay and network infrastructure and OpenAI for hosted AI processing. Providers may change when reasonably necessary to maintain reliability, compatibility, security, or product functionality.
Cherrium does not use your User Content to train an AI model owned by Cherrium. Third-party providers process information according to their applicable agreements, security practices, and retention controls.
5) Saved-Chat Memory
Peek may automatically search locally saved chats when your prompt appears to refer to earlier work or conversations. Relevant excerpts or compact summaries may then be included with the AI request.
Free and Peek Pro may use different memory-depth limits. Saved-chat memory may select incomplete or unrelated context and is not guaranteed to recall every saved detail.
You can delete saved chats to prevent those chats from being used for future saved-chat memory requests.
6) Smart Cleanup and Chat Deletion
If Smart Cleanup is enabled, Peek may automatically remove older or less recently used saved chats when the saved-chat collection exceeds the supported limit.
Pinned chats are protected from Smart Cleanup. However, pinning is not a substitute for maintaining an independent backup.
Deleted chats may not be recoverable. Clearing a conversation from the interface does not necessarily remove other saved chats.
7) Voice and Speech Recognition
Voice input requires microphone and speech-recognition permission. Peek accesses the microphone only while voice input is starting or active.
Apple may process audio or recognition information when its speech recognition service is used. Apple’s processing is governed by Apple’s applicable privacy terms and device settings.
You may stop voice input at any time, revoke microphone or speech recognition permission in System Settings, or disable the voice shortcut.
8) Vision and Screen Capture
Vision requires macOS Screen Recording permission. Peek captures screen information only while a Vision session that you started is active.
You should close or hide passwords, financial information, private messages, health information, confidential business material, and other sensitive content before starting Vision.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to capture and process any content visible during the session.
You may stop Vision at any time or revoke Screen Recording permission in System Settings.
9) Clipboard, Links, and Exports
Quick Copy places selected content on the macOS clipboard. If auto-clear clipboard is enabled, Peek may clear unchanged content previously copied through Peek after the applicable behavior is triggered.
Peek does not control content after another application reads it.
Links generated by AI responses may lead to third-party websites. Cherrium does not control the privacy or security practices of those websites.
PDFs and other exported files are saved only when you request an export and select a location. Once exported, you are responsible for storing, sharing, and deleting those files.
10) Notifications and Shortcuts
Peek may request notification permission to alert you when supported work is complete. Notification delivery is managed by macOS.
Global keyboard shortcuts are registered with macOS when enabled. Configured shortcut values are stored locally and are not intentionally included in generated support reports.
11) How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Information may be shared with:
- AI service providers to generate text and Vision responses.
- Network and infrastructure providers to relay, secure, and operate requests.
- Apple for App Store purchases, subscription status, permissions, notifications, and speech recognition.
- Support providers when you choose to contact us or send diagnostic information.
- Legal authorities when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary.
- A successor organization following a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or asset sale.
12) Current Core Service Providers
- Cloudflare: network relay, delivery, and security infrastructure.
- OpenAI: hosted AI response and Vision processing.
- Apple: App Store, StoreKit, macOS services, permissions, and speech recognition.

Service providers may change over time. We select providers based on functionality, availability, security, and operational requirements.
13) Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, maintaining security, resolving disputes, and complying with legal obligations.
- Saved chats remain locally until deleted, removed by Smart Cleanup, reset, or uninstalled.
- Vision screenshots are held in memory and are not intentionally persisted as saved-chat images.
- Cherrium does not intentionally retain raw voice recordings through Peek.
- Voice transcripts may remain if submitted and saved as chat content.
- Local preferences remain until reset or removed from the device.
- Security, relay, and diagnostic records may be retained as reasonably necessary.
- Third-party providers may retain information under their own terms and retention controls.
- Support correspondence may be retained while needed to resolve a request.
14) Security
Cherrium uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. These include app sandboxing, private local file permissions, encrypted network connections, short-lived relay authorization, request-size limits, and input validation.
No storage or transmission method is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or lost.
15) Your Choices and Controls
You can control software data by:

16) Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about certain personal data processed by Cherrium.
You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or receive a portable copy of information, subject to applicable law and technical availability.
Much of Peek’s data is stored only on your device. Cherrium may not possess or be able to identify locally stored chats or settings. Local data can be managed directly through the app, Finder, macOS settings, or uninstallation.
To submit a privacy request, contact Cherrium using the contact information published at the end of this policy.
17) Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, Cherrium processes information:
- To provide software and services you request.
- With your consent, including when you grant system permissions.
- For legitimate interests such as security, reliability, support, and abuse prevention.

18) International Processing
Cherrium LLC is based in the United States. Information transmitted to Cherrium or its service providers may be processed in the United States or other countries where those providers operate.
19) Children’s Privacy
Cherrium software is not directed to children under 13, and Cherrium does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through its hosted software services.
20) Other Cherrium Products
Flow
Flow processes wallpaper media, file locations, and related settings that you select. Selected media is intended to remain locally on your device. Flow may store preferences and permission bookmarks locally so it can access user-selected files after relaunching. Cherrium does not intentionally receive your wallpaper files unless you provide them for support.
Harbor
Harbor processes source files, folders, backup destinations, and storage locations that you select to provide backup, archival, and restore functionality. Harbor may store local preferences and security-scoped permission bookmarks so it can continue accessing selected locations.
If you configure a Git, Shopify, or other supported connection, Harbor may process service identifiers, configuration details, credentials, access tokens, and request data needed to communicate with that service.
Supported credentials and tokens are intended to be stored locally using macOS Keychain or other protected local storage. Network requests are sent to the third-party service you configure and are governed by that service’s privacy practices.
Backup contents are written to the destination you select. Cherrium does not intentionally receive or inspect Harbor archives, credentials, or backup contents unless you provide information for support.
CinePlan
CinePlan may process account, authentication, project, planning, production, scheduling, collaboration, subscription, and support information submitted through its website. Activity may also involve cookies, server logs, analytics, security records, AI processing, and CinePlan service providers.
Detailed CinePlan disclosures and privacy choices are provided in the CinePlan Privacy Policy.
Zoruh Stickers and Zoruh Stickers Animated
Zoruh sticker applications generally do not require a Cherrium account or transmit sticker-message content to Cherrium. Sticker installation, messaging, device backups, and usage may be processed by Apple or the applicable messaging platform under that provider’s privacy policy.
21) Store and Website Activity
Visits to cherrium.com, Shopify storefront purchases, checkout activity, storefront cookies, and related commerce data are governed by the separate Cherrium Store Privacy Policy.
